Many of them, including ones who were beating the shit out of police, have tried to say one or more of the following: * I was just caught up in the moment * I got caught up in the mob mentality * The police attacked me first and I was defending myself (even with plenty of video evidence proving otherwise) * I was actually trying to help/protect the police (even with plenty of video evidence of them attacking the police) I'm not sure what Lamond has said in regard to this yet.
