What about if you have a Pi-hole and block the incoming advertising and outgoing data but keep the actually useful smart TV functionality working? Like, you can do this with existing smart tv's and they will still function. I don't have my TV connected to the internet--have never entered my password or anything into it--and I never update it but somehow it manages to update itself every few months --- There is no good.
