| pyresword 05/18/23 8:43:21 PM #62: | Lost Painting KANNANSHINKU Windslash Steps Gnorman's theme is neat. Very whimsical song with some creative sounds and a strong sense of melody. I think it suffers a bit because the song sounds like it's designed to have a bunch of separate short ~4 bar phrases that repeat or something in-game, but it's still good fun either way. The intro to Lost Painting is outstanding, and then the rest is reasonably fine. Honestly not sure what to vote here. Weapons Factory is certainly inoffensive but I can't say I'm too high on it. Melody is a bit basic. The appeal I think is in the weird rhythmic stuff going on but there's just not actually enough there, and also the timbre of one of the percussion instruments I find is a bit too close to grating. I don't have a lot to say about KANNANSHINKU but it's definitely pleasant to listen to. Windslash Steps is great. Lots of catchy synth and piano melodies that are always a blast to listen to. Unlike a lot of rhythm game music,Shushidoes a good job using aggressive electronic sounds to accentuate the music without just going crazy. Vocalist is nice also, but it still feels like the song overall is missing something. Windslash Steps > KANNANSHINKU > Lost Painting > Shushi ~ Set You Free > Gnorman's Theme > Weapons Factory --- I didn't do guru this year but azuarc can be in my sig anyways. ...
