As I understand, it's more of a source material issue than an adaptation issue Same can be said about Death Note as you can sorta tell where they were supposed to stop writing but ended up being forced to continue on past its prime. Funnily enough, their next manga, Bakuman, ends with them making a manga that's a lot like Death Note and what they did with that manga was exactly like a bit "fuck you" to the industry that forced them to continue on. They ended up getting the manga to end exactly when they wanted and thus was cemented as a GOAT since it ended on a high note. Reading and watching it really made it obvious that they were throwing shade too. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
