It was literally gore porn and people had the audacity to be offended as if some of the other brutal kills on the show, albeit not as visceral, weren't there to sate the viewers bloodlust. I remember some people being so offended they dropped the show and I was like "Oh now it's over the line?". Fucking hypocrites. It wasn't about it being brutal. It was about fans being upset that ~~they killed him off. He was the fan favorite. And they psyched out comic fans by killing Abraham first. Like woohoo they didn't kill Glen afterall...
