Medical staff in the central Colombian town of Honda were shocked to discover a potato growing inside a womans vagina.
According to Colombia Reports, the 22-year-old unidentified woman sought medical attention after experiencing abdominal pains. After medical staff discovered the potato, the woman explained her mother told her to insert it as a means of preventing pregnancy.
My mom told me that if I didnt want to get pregnant, I should put a potato up there, and I believed her, the woman said.
After about two weeks of having the potato inside her body, the woman began to experience abdominal pains. The potato had germinated and grew roots inside the young woman.

this reminds me of a story a coworker told me about some TV show he watched that had a theme of people having to get medical attention for genital injuries.

On the episode in question, apparently some older hippie dude in California went out into the woods naked and got fucked up (wasn't specified on what) to meditate and "commune with nature" and a lizard crawled up his dickhole. He went to the ER after a few hours so they could get it out. When the doctors asked him why he let the lizard crawl all the way in, instead of, you know... trying to stop that from happening, his explanation was that it felt good at first.
