But he needed Link to get the Ocarina of Time back before the song did anything. He even played it in front of Link and nothing happened until Link played it back. So what, does he have his own magical instrument he uses to go around harvesting negativity and making masks but he left it at home? He knows a lot about Majora's Mask, says he deliberately tracked it down and took it for himself so I'm guessing this guy is just crazy into occult stuff in general and the masks just happen to be his favorite part.
