But at the same time, the vast majority of women on OF are making pitiful amounts of money-- the average earnings are $180 a month, which considering you have a few outliers making huge sums means the actual mean is even worse than that.

From what I've read, a lot of them make those low amounts of money because they hide most of the "good stuff" behind a 2nd paywall (like paying for personal photo/videos, DMs, etc.) so people subscribe for one month then cancel.

I understand OF in concept, as it presents itself as a more personal version of porn, that (for a fee) you can cater to your personal taste, but my personal taste isn't that specific that I wouldn't be able to find what I want online for free.
