To be fair (i haven't seen the trial so I could be mistaken) a lot of this is to play to the jury, not to us.

It might seem silly but in a long boring weeks long trial full of a jury of bored people who don't give a shit, they're not gonna remember random dull facts from day 12

But they will remember the Simpsons clips.

Lawyers do this all the time, dramatic demonstrations or really weird stupid shit that makes no sense but the jury remembers.

Perhaps most famously Johnny Cochran's rhyme "If the glove doesn't fit, you must aquit"

Which I garantee any juror or anyone who even slightly followed OJ Simpson remembers

Never ever forget Fox's job isn't to convince you or a group of reasonable people with access to all the facts and a vested interest. They're trying to influence a bored jury
