You're blowing things dramatically out of proportion. You refused to say what she said because you knew it wasn't as big of a deal as you tried making it out to be. The follow up backhanded apology insult topic was pretty much straight worse if I was grading them on some kind of offensive scale but people don't talk much about that one since I guess "she made an insincere apology" doesn't have the same punch to it as "she brought up another users dead loved one" after you eliminate all the context.
