Decided to just get another pair to not be stressed out. Bought a 2nd sr007mk2 because I wasn't sure if the stax amp (or energizer) I was using at the time was the culprit of the imbalance. So i decided to just buy another pair because I liked it and wouldn't mind if I had a back up. Oh yeah it was the amp acting up and not the headphone. I'm using a srm 717 to drive my stax headphones now prior I was using a srm 353x. The 2nd pair sr007mk2 honest to God sounds a tad different tho its weird. Sounds like it might have more volume in 3k hz range. I wonder if this is the "sr007mk2.5" and the 1st one is a "sr007mk2.9". Silent revisions. I know some of these more niche headphones can be sitting on a shelf for years before being bought.
