No, but you aren't gaining any either. So if you do an aux before a week with tutoring your students will likely not be optimally motivated for the instruction. Now typically, especially early game it's not that big a deal because you have more students than points. But sometimes you want to rush certain students tutoring to hit benchmarks faster (like getting Dark Spikes before Death Knight, Warp as fast as possible, key combat arts, or A Authority on Dimitri so he can just murder everyone for the rest of the game). Auxiliary battles make that much more difficult.
