I mean that's fair, but it's pretty wild that of the 6 teams to start a season at least 10-0 previously (obviously not counting the Rays yet), 3 of them ended up missing the postseason entirely and only 1 even made the World Series (the 55 Dodgers, the first team to even start a season 10-0, and which they won).

Also the 03 Royals are the only other team to even start a season 9-0 in the Wild Card era, and they also didn't even make the playoffs in the end lol.

baseball is just a weird thing, and random teams go on streaks usually, plenty of times not even good ones. it's just not as common to begin a season. i dunno about those 80's teams but that Royals team i can guarantee was not projected to be good, this Rays team was

And anytime these bums are good they fail to win it. Just gets frustrating to root for them so thats part of the reason I just dont engage with baseball anymore. Not to mention the good players get traded after a few years because the team is so poor
