i miss invasions. Elden Ring ruined it.

it's definitely more of an uphill battle but i feel like since i have things like endure and bhs i don't have any excuses. also, a frigging cannon. also, the teleport item.

you have a lot of access to surprise damage in elden ring. everyone does. and if you're willing to swap talismans in and out you suddenly have a lot more room to play with; you get tools that help you keep your resources while a host and his buddies are spending theirs.

The cap on invasions was like 10 levels lower than you.

I think you could invade anyone higher than you though.

eh, there's some formula. in original dark souls you could invade infinitely upward, and it was awesome.

Souls is straight up the ONLY franchise I've seen where every single facet of its design is somehow above criticism
