Nope. I don't know what that is. I typically do paralogue battles first and then the bonus gold auxiliary battles to make money.
Whenever you fight monsters there are 4 yellow squares. You break them by targeting that square. Breaking all 4 squares yields rare ore, the only consistent ways to get them. Lizard and boss monsters require two hits to break their squares (other monsters start off with already cracked squares). They regenerate all their squares to full if they pull off their "gambit". Gambits/effective weapons break a "full square" in one hit and gambits also crack the square of other tiles they hit (although I guess you haven't been using gambits).
Breaking a single square will cause them to get confused for one round where they wont counterattack the next hit (you can chain this by breaking a square one at a time). Breaking all their armor not only yields rare ore, it causes them to get fully confused for one turn where they won't counterattack for a whole turn. Once all squares of their armor is broken they won't regenerate it.
