They've got to widen the scope of the narrative now and move towards ensemble. Exactly, there is pretty much no other way to go. The only other thing they could've done is turn it into an episodic 80s/90s series like Renegade or Walker Texas Ranger where Din and Grogu move from planet to planet helping people.
