You also open yourself up to more likely being manipulated/taken advantage of. As well if you have obviously better relationships/are closer with certain people than you are with others you can look biased or like youre playing favorites even if youre not. Thats not to say you have to run the place like a damn drill instructor, you just have to know how to balance being chill/chummy and being the boss.
