Why though? Elon Musk and Bezos won the game right? They're way ahead of any rich person could hope to achieve in the US at least at this point, if anything their efforts to be richest person ever would be better of sabotaging Musk/Bezos instead of manipulating politicians to save an extra $400k every year, you'll never catch up to Musk. Or moving to some even more corrupt country to reap even more benefits.

If you're not trying to be the richest person ever, why keep hoarding more money? You have plenty of money to do whatever you want several times over, at some point getting more money has diminishing returns on reputation and power. $500 mil to $1 bil, sure. $1 bil to $1.8 bil is a bigger jump but not a bigger status.

And like, what are you even doing with the money? You'd think that someone would amount all this power to do some crazy shit like everybody has to participate in Flamingo Fridays or some random shit that is so oddly specific to their life needs, but it's all policies to make more money.

I literally don't see the motive behind manipulating the country to get measly returns on shit. Not saying it's not happening, just like, why though?
