It's not, and you need to let go of whatever pseudoscientific notion of "human nature" you pulled out of econ101. Are you never not condescending? I do think it's human nature. Many people so good things and are truly good people, but there are bad people that do bad things. I don't see what is so controversial about there being a spectrum of human behavior. I don't think it's controversial to believe there is no system that can overcome human behavior. You can shit on my intelligence and education, both are subpar, but this seems pretty basic to me.
