Then you don't ever need an official memory card at all. I don't recall the exact details but it basically comes down to needing somewhere to store stuff while setting up the mod; the slim model has enough built-in storage space while the original model doesn't.

Thats an issue though if I wanted a modded one I could just buy one for like 150 or so, assuming these random Facebook listings are legit.
