I saw the news too. I'm excited for more CCS, especially after the first Clear Card anime ended so abruptly. This (probably) isn't April Fool's either, because Sakura's birthday is on 4/1 and announcing her new series on her birthday makes perfect logical sense. Between Precure's 20th anniversary festivities, the Tokyo Mew Mew reboot, more Sailor Moon movies, and now this announcement for CCS, it feels like we're in a magical girl renaissance. The timeline is correcting itself after Madoka Magica threw the genre so far off track.
