Going online to make sure everyone hears your takes does just as much as the person ignoring politics. The only thing you're doing when you go online is saying "look at me. Look how smart and understanding I am". Especially in a dying gaming board. It's for our own self reassurance

If Im here talking about how progressive I am and a trump supporter isn't going to his rallies but instead going to help the community in objectively positive stuff, who is the person doing more for the world?

Maybe he says a few side ways things during his help, but people in need usually don't have the privilege to cut people out their lives over a few statements

I say that just to say, if you're not actually out there, you can't really talk like you're superior to people avoiding politics
