captpackrat 03/29/23 5:28:57 AM #12: | Filed a paper return and I got my refund already. The previous two years I didn't get my refund until November even though I filed at least a month before the deadline. I also filed a 1040-X for the previous year because I discovered I could have taken the Retirement Savings Contributions Credit. I qualified for 2021, but not 2022. If you made less than $34,000 ($68,000 married filing jointly) in 2022, you can get a credit of up to 50% of the first $2000 ($4000 married filing jointly) that you contributed to an IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or other qualified retirement savings account. You just have to file form 8880 with your return. https://www.irs.gov/retirement-plans/plan-participant-employee/retirement-savings-contributions-savers-credit --- Minutus cantorum, minutus balorum, Minutus carborata descendum pantorum. ...
