Mexico decided to stop paying its debts, so Spain, England, and France created a pact to get their money from Mexico. They sent ships to Mexico and started some diplomacy. Spain and England accepted the sovereignty and independence of Mexico. The landing of foreign forces was allowed to avoid casualties due to fever and other illnesses suffered by its crew, so England had military forces in Mexico. Spain and England left, while France attacked. Since England was still technically in the pact, it "counts" as an invasion. --- GameFAQs isn't going to be merged in with GameSpot or any other site.
