Gameplay: 10/10. Groundbreaking for its time, still holds up today, better than most current gen action stealth games

Graphics: 10/10. Shattered my 10 year old brain when it first came out, sometimes forgot that I was not playing a movie

Story: 10/10 Kojima at his absolute best. Predicted how shitty the Internet would become 20 years in advance. Trolled MGS1 fans by giving us Raiden. Had massive themes about propaganda and information control that have been prevalent for the past 100 years. We get to see Raiden misgendered and grabbed by the president

Characters: 10/10. Ultimate Solid Snake and Otacon bromance. Solidus Snake is an absolute chad. We got Fatman who literally rolls around on skates. We have Hermes larping as an erotic, campy vampire. Raiden was sort of lame at the time but he got on his sigma grindset and we got MGS4 and Revengeance Raiden so it was all worth it.

Music: 10/10. Come on, do I really need to say anything here? You get that pulse-pounding escape music going in your head just from seeing this: "!"
