Because the Soviet Union fought against Hitler, that makes Russia's armies are the good guys in all future conflicts? Russia's government was shitty when they were a part of the Allies. That's why we have that famous Churchill quote, "If Hitler were to lay siege to the gates of Hell, I would find something good to say about the devil before parliament." It's some bullshit about the Azov Battalion taken to wild extremes and exploited for propaganda and directly related to the War in Donbas.
