Add his psychological element of perfection, and the elevated willingness ans obsession to allow sacrifice, that's what sets him apart. Music isn't supposed to be a contest, but when people start talking about statistical things like charting and sales, it can make certain aware people carry resentment towards newer artists that probably didn't grind like he did, be hungry like he was, try to change the culture like he did. I mean me personally, a pop vocalist without a dancing skillet under their belt is a negative mark. They're content with how they're selling and more driven by the business efficiency. --- Competing every night, both ends, shoot inside/outside, fast break, transition, Monta Ellis have it all ...
