It's just people putting a whole bunch of assumptions and context that doesn't exist around it cause prejudice towards the non mainstream lifestyle. If you actually know people from the lifestyle, you get over that. Also, tbf, it should be obvious any accent putting someone in a certain negative mindstate comes from prejudice.
