Yeah, I know I've been a bit vocal about it but speaking from a Jets fan perspective I would 200% rather they pursue Lamar than Rodgers. Give him the guaranteed deal, I don't care. He's worth the picks. And you can get him on a long term deal.

With Rodgers, which the Jets are absolutely going to do unless Rodgers saves them from themselves and retires, they're going to end up trading away valuable talent and end up blowing up their first promising team in about 15 years for a guy who - at least with the Packers basically didn't give a fuck about working with the young talent on the team during the offseason and shit on them during the season - and they'll probably only have him for a year or two. Like all the talking heads going "Rodgers on the Jets makes them a Super Bowl contender!!!" I really doubt that because he's not going to be on the Jets as they were last year, they're going to lose too many pieces in simply acquiring him. Out in the divisional round.

With Lamar they can keep building. Hell, I'd rather they enter a holding pattern and get Jimmy G than sabotage themselves for Rodgers but this team absolutely can't help themselves chasing the shiniest thing they see instead of trying to actually build a team.
