If the government was calling a group they are a part of invalid, an affront to god and society, something that must be eliminated for the good of all, they wouldn't be going "Well that's their right! The beauty of democracy is that the winners get to pass laws and we need to accept it until we eventually vote the people we want back in!"

Republicans are proud that everything is always on the ballot, except guns. Human rights are on the ballot. Free speech is on the ballot. But guns are a natural right that cannot never be infringed.
