Something YaBoyRoshi posted on twitter that I thought was an interesting take.I can see what they mean by that, but I don't think having a bunch of action scenes peppered throughout would work as well for the show. It gets repetitive and in a way lowers the threat of raiders/infected if they keep pulling through. It makes the battles they do get into mean more. Also it's interesting because a lot of discourse over the years have considered the gameplay the worst part of TLOU. (I don't personally agree with that but I've seen it a lot). So this seems like a natural extension of that opinion. I will say I don't feel like the bonding between Joel and Ellie has been natural or "earned", they just kind of turned a corner off screen between the course of an episode or two. But, that's natural since they have to condense from the game so I'm not too hard on that --- I'm far from high end, I just know what suits me. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
