They can accomplish those other duties... then go back to sitting if they want.

In fact, yes, everyone working a job that may require them to walk and/or stand a lot should have access to a chair at some point, even if for only a few minutes to take a small break. Again, this isn't some thing where once a chair is introduced, that's it, they're forced to sit in the chair literally all day.

If they have shit to clean or shelves to stock they can *ultra gasp* stand back up and go and do the thing they need to do.

You're arguing in favor of a false dichotomy. It is, quite possible, to both complete your daily tasks and have a chair.
