I remember watching one of these in the cheap theatre, and nearly everyone in the theater was cracking up throughout the movie. These are the most unintentionally funny movies ever made, especially if you don't take them seriously.

I had no idea that a theater could have been primarily a crowd that watched the films in the so bad it's good type.
If nothing else, the films (at least the outdoor portions) are beautiful, the directors and camera operators really leaned into capturing the majesty of the Pacific Northwest. And not all of the performances are bad (Peter Facinelli as Carlisle plays it straight, and Michael Sheen as Aro is clearly having a blast being the grandiose bad guy), but Pattinson and Stewart can just be painful to watch. I think I once described Pattinson's performance as "trying to overact while still being wooden". ^_^

I've read/seen a decent amount of interviews with SM over the years, and she's always seemed pretty normal, even a little boring.
