the first phase is bad because you can't even see most of what he's doing because of the camera usually, in an even more egregious way that giant bosses in souls tend to be. when he starts using fire attacks it becomes a little bit more tolerable because they're things you can read more properly

the second phase is a mess. there's way too much randomness to it. i have beaten him twice and both times its because instead of flying around everywhere doing rolls that cleave off 90% of you health he decided to sit in one place and just throw a tantrum until i poked him to death. his fire attacks jin practicality are mostly "you need to run away now and watch him attack forever before you can do anything now" and that's also very annoying

all in all not the hardest boss in the game but the one i feel like they messed up on the most
