My grade 8 trip would have been to a local amusement park about an hour away. But I wasn't allowed to go because I had outstanding detentions I never served. My parents couldn't afford to pay for it anyway.

However, in 6th grade I did attend a weekend trip to a language camp (French), in which one friend and I ended up being tackled by councilors because they thought we were running away. I also fell in love/had my first crush on the camp admin. She was so pretty and nice.

My friend was pissed off because we were in the downstairs room of the cabin, and all of the "cool kids" where upstairs and just stomping around all night, so he couldn't get sleep. So he was protesting by sleeping on the bench outside of the room, becaues the teachers and councilors refused to do anything about the kids upstairs. So in solidarity I fell asleep on the bench too. I woke up in my bed with the camp admin sitting next to my bed and she asked if I slept well. >_>
