I wouldn't say considered a failure. But it is quite annoying listening to them talk about money. When the only bills they pay are for internet, insurance, and car payment, don't about how it shouldn't be tough for me to afford a trip somewhere for a few thousand dollars.
Hell, I work with someone who lives with his parents. He just paid cash for a new 60k truck, cause he has paid no real expenses for the last 25 years staying with his parents.
There is definitely a disconnect between people like that, and people who have to all these other life expenses since they don't have mom and dad paying for almost everything for them still.
