No because unlike 20 years ago the price of rent has sky rocketed. I know people who were in an apartment back in 2016 that had 2 room mates all of them had to move back in with parents because once the rent increased even all three of could not make it work, all three had jobs and 40 hour work weeks.

The place they used to live is now empty too since no one could afford renting there.

I stayed at home until I could afford to buy a house which in the long run was the best option.
