I know everyone's situation is different but I can't even imagine spending my early 20s living with my parents.

I didn't have the kind of parents that gave a shit though. If I couldn't support myself I'd be out on the street.

This is the thing.

I moved out at 16 and have been independent of my parents for the twenty years that followed. Even if my parents had been willing to let me stay, I wouldnt have wanted to.

However, I can appreciate that not everybody is in that kind of situation so making blanket statements without looking at the circumstances doesnt really mean anything.
