You should consider that the term wasn't created for the group as a whole, but for the transcommunity within that demographic. Do you think hispanic culture, which tends to have very strict boundaries of masculinity/machismo, is likely to be particularly welcoming of transpeople?

no, my gf is mexican and we go to and from mexico pretty often. im not going to say its a hellhole for LGBTQ people but its not the most welcoming still especially if youre outside mexico city.

its still a very heavily catholic country. Very conservative
