Until it does.

Your attitude of "spreading the word doesn't work immediately, which means it'll never work so why try" is inspiring to say the least, but think of it this way: if our complaints and discussions won't stop the rich bigoted person, what chance do you have to stop us from complaining? You're essentially doing the same thing: trying to convince someone to stop what they're doing by complaining.

Gotta say, I think I liked you better as an abusive troll than a concern troll.
This.

Also, as I brought up in the other (now purged) topic, the reason we stopped using gay people and ableist slurs as punchlines is specifically because people were vocal about how wrong it is to do so until society, comedians included, listened. But apparently in his mind, that's not the solution for trans jokes, because... Chappelle is an asshole? But it's actually the trans people who are assholes because they won't stop being offended?

This history lesson and exposure of a double standard, of course, earned me the very well thought out and bulletproof counter-argument of "Shut the fuck up" lol

Hell, he even went so far as to cause the hurt trans people feel from somebody as influential as Chappelle constantly stoking hate against them both on and off stage as "extraneous", because it's simply not as important as him getting to laugh.
