Donating does open more animals up for adoption, though I have no idea if like higher tier dogs start digging up Steel and Silver instead of Iron or whatever. Though if you're not hanging around the Somniel picking stuff up all the time I guess it doesn't matter.There's no tier for the dogs, the only difference is coat color.
