That's a rather poetic final write-up! Fright actually shares a lot of similar thematic elements to Pixie, of all characters, but with Fright, it's pretty tragic, every step of the way. I legitimately felt horrible about how Mento handled things - it was not dissimilar to Zatanna, but in a way, it was far less intentional and far more... cavalier. Just a casual mind, altered forever. There's some terror I have about that concept.

Crimson Corsair Cummerbund is a reference to Watchmen, by the way! The Crimson Corsair is a comic book read throughout the Watchmen comic series by a young boy outside a newstand.

It's honestly horrifying, and I think in that exact moment it clicked for Bloodfruit just what exactly Mento was capable of and his non-chalant response dramatically altered her perception of him. Fright is honestly a big part of why Mento places as high as he does for me.
