While it is cheaper to order fast food, those numbers are way off. You are comparing higher quality ingredients to literal Mcdonalds. Stick to store-brand and it's closer to this

$4/lb for 80% ground. So a quarter pound burger - $1
Sandwich cheese is $2 for a pack of 16, so $.13
A head of lettuce is $1.5. You are only using a few leafs, so maybe $.05?
Tomatoes - $2.5 for a pint. Again, maybe $.10
Hamburger buns - $2 for 8. $.25
Total for a single homemade quarter pounder, no onions, pickles or sauce = $1.53. Add a few cents more extras.

And if you are spending an hour on the cook, you will be eating a hockey puck.

but thats irrelevant because Im still having to pay for everything to make one dinner. Leftovers are nasty especially with stuff like tomatoes
