What the fuck are you doing to those burgers that makes them take an hour to make? The longest you can make the process take is 20 minutes if you bake them. As for the price of ingredients, everything except the hamburger you'll only be using part of for the meal and you can save the rest for later. Also, you can get as many as four burgers out of a pound of meat. There will be left overs just from cooking the burgers. you also need to account for drive and grocery store time and who would want leftover burgers.
