I finally said fuck it and left my job of nearly a decade after going from a starting pay of $11 to $17 and being passed over for promotion four times by people who ended up sucking at the job

Found a place that started me at double what the old place paid me, plus unlimited overtime if I want it, plus bonuses each quarter, plus I can work from home forever

I even get paid paternity leave now for six weeks. As the father. I had to use my own PTO at the old place and even then it was only for two weeks and they didnt know if theyd be able to approve it. Ten fucking years there and I requested it literally the day I found out I was gonna be a dad which gave them about 8 months notice and it was idk thats a busy time of year

Know your worth bro, dont be like me and settle for whats comfortable for a long time, keep pushing and if they pass you up tell them to fuck off

shit you might have to hook me up with a job thats payin you double. I'm not even picky i'll do anything. I don't have my college degree(I ended up having to take a break from college, a lot of stuff happened and i ended up not being interested at all in continuing schooling) so all these jobs requires paraprofessional experience or degrees is kinda disheartening, and i'm invested in this promotion BECAUSE it gives paraprofessional experience... so it's kinda like make or break for me y'know.
