I would sooner shit in my hands and clap than watch anything that comes from Lauren Hissrich and her team of morons suffering from hilarious levels of delusions of grandeur.

I will continue to read the books and if I wish to engage in fan-fiction, the games exist, and they're very good, even the original of which has very dated gameplay by modern standards.

To be fair, its perfectly justifiable to not want to copy the source material for the show tbh. People get too caught up in that especially when it comes to nerd culture.

If you're going to adapt the material and put your own spin on it, it's best to respect it first before you attempt to add to it.

No reasonable person that has read the books or played the games is expecting a 1:1 adaptation, but the Witcher show in many places is a pure and utter piss take not only of the source material, but the fans and the attitude shown towards the fans that enabled this show to exist (surprise surprise) has been mostly negative.

Right now, there are small waves of people attempting to shut down any and all criticism of Blood Origins by citing critique of Lauren, her team or the show as nothing more than Misogyny, bigotry, prejudice, racism etc.

These people are also attacking the fans of the source material as well as the games, the very pieces of content that are well received, critically acclaimed and loved.

Ultimately, I wouldn't tell anybody not to watch Blood Origins, the choice is up to them, but after watching the first two seasons of the mainline show, I'm about done with the franchise on Netflix.
