Topic | What's the saddest movie you've seen |
Enderknight17 12/21/22 11:07:09 PM #84: | Mr_hulk88 posted... Wow really? To me it spoke to a bygone era, his father and mother enjoying time on the water. His father fishing and his mother being with his father. If I remember correctly his mother was mean and callous in her old age when he meets her on the way to the award ceremony. I feel like he's remembering his childhood and coming, finally, to terms that he will die. As his lost love says "there are no more wild strawberries". Idk, I haven't seen it in awhile but I feel the whole film is about existence and how superfluous life can be. And when he finally realizes meaning it's in the experiences we share with others and our common bonds. His daughter in law says he's a terrible person, but remember the scene at the gas station where the man thanks him for what he did (never mentioned what it was if I remember right). Idk, I'm tired as hell and may not be recalling everything but that's the gist of it. To me it's a really sad movie. --- RIP BigAirDay aka Bill.
