Suicidal thoughts is in the list of possible side effects and of the first things doctors will ask you about your next visit. I guess tinkering with the amount of neurotransmitters responsible for your mood can bring about some sudden swings, but like others have said its probably a miniscule amount of people that it has happened to.

For my personal experience, while it does take weeks, I started feeling the difference by the first 2 weeks, although its veeeery gradual and some of the immediate side effects might make you feel worse at first (like losing libido and hardness), but you once feel the calm its not a bad trade off and eventually you can have sex.

They generally don't give you suicidal thoughts, but rather give you more energy which puts you at risk if you're already having suicidal thoughts.
