I love characters that either specialize or have a lot going on for air combos. Regal, judith, milla, leia (when xillia 2 came out, damn near the entire cast could do a little something something in the air, with muzet being the least capable. Even alvin's big ass could do a few air combos, lol. Still my favorite tales of game by far when it comes to the gameplay), a lot of the cast from tales of destiny remake, a lot of the cast with tales of hearts r, and in arise alphen, shionne, law, and rinwell can do some air shenanigans.

I'd say out of everyone, milla ever so slightly edges out ludger as my absolute favorite character to use in the tales of series. Ludger is number two since you can actually equip all of his 48 artes at once with xillia 2's shortcut options, and its just cool going back and forth between his 3 weapons and super form. Number three is jude and his speed+snap pivot always being fun to pull off+satisfying martial arts artes list+also being able to be in the air for a bit.
