It's not complicated and is doable especially if you make good investments but people don't want to sacrifice their time or luxury life styles. With what time, what degree, and what investment knowledge? Anything that's not a highly risky investment will take years to see any return. Getting any good job takes years of training. Two trash jobs is not going to get anyone anywhere. And saving income assumes you don't have a ton of debt or other obligations beyond the typical such as school debt, medical debt, childcare costs etc. It's not simple at all, otherwise people would simply do it.
